The sun is shining again this morning and it looks like it is going to be another great weekend.  There are so few warm sunny days now that one really must take advantage of them.
There are two football games on today and that is what we have planned for our day.  Our Riders don't play till tomorrow so it looks to be shaping up to be a football weekend which is good considering,  the quad still remains in Prince Albert at the service shop and the jeep is still un-drivable with all the dash wires still looking for a home!!
Dave's brother Jeff is out for the weekend and I imagine they have all sorts of activities planned.  Shirley came over and told us that she would not be going quadding with the boys as her hip was bothering her and she had to get some of "our" garden done up and in her freezer for the winter.  With that, she took a ton of beets, carrots and swiss chard home and I am sure, she will be busy all day with that load of stuff!!  It is good to see her finally getting some of the garden done up.
Gary, Dave and Jeff took off on their quads and were not heard from until the early evening.  Although we did not talk to Jeff or Dave, Gary came over to tell us they had a good day.
John had started a campfire again tonight,  just before Gary came over and it was crackling good and sending off wonderful waves of heat which, was a good thing as Gary was pretty chilly by the time he got back to town.  He mentioned that he had to get his winter riding gear out as he was planning on going back out on the trails to scout for moose sign tomorrow and is hoping to bag a moose for the winter.  Now, that would give him plenty of meat.  Unfortunately he didn't get any deer and only about 20 pounds of moose meat last year so he is hoping for better results this year.
With the fire blazing. we sat around it until it was time for Gary to head home.   The potatoes were put on the grill and once they were done, the steak was added.  Mmmm, another great evening for food and beverage!!
