Our spot at Karl and Naomie's
We arrived at Whitehall, Montana in the early afternoon.  It was time to relax and enjoy the company of Karl and Naomie.  Between Naomie and I, we had planned for supper so all that was left to do was to light the bonfire, crack a beer and enjoy the evening....which is exactly what we did.  Naomie had to work Monday so it was early to bed as we had a short ride planned for Monday.  This was actually the first week they had company come to the house as they too were doing the social distancing thing.  Both Karla and Naomie mentioned how difficult it had been not to have their friends and neighbors at the house but since everyone was in the same boat and as it turned out, everyone did their part and there was no one that knew that had contracted the virus or had any symptoms.  Life was definitely getting better!!

Awesome bonfire

short ride on Monday down to the creek
We waited for Naomie to get home from work and then headed out on the side by sides to the creek.  It flows a few miles from the ranch and it going to be the site where Karl and Naomie have decided to get married at.  It really is quite lovely.

Still a little snow on the mountains

Saturday ride
We enjoyed the hospitality of Karl and Naomie and got to visit with several of our Montana friends while we were there.  It was fun.  I was able to help Karl feed the horses, and hear their plans for the vegetable garden and, their wedding plans!!
The birds were a joy to watch and that included the bluebirds and the robins.  Karl had a hate on for the starlings and was shooting them every chance he got.  I asked him why and he said they were a very unfriendly fire and if there were too many of them the other birds wouldn't stay around.
The weather mostly cooperated but we did have to hide from the rain at times.
The food we ate was delicious and we actually enjoyed the adult beverages!!  Maybe, a little too much!!

Sarah drove all day

Naomie was scheduled to work on Saturday and I decided to forgo the Saturday quad trip but the rest of the gang headed out and enjoyed even more of the trails.  Fun was had by all and everyone was back home by 6:00pm.  Still plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the evening around the fire.  It was a pretty good day for everyone.    Life is Good!!
