I am up early and ready to greet this day.  I quickly made coffee then headed out to the garden for some potatoes.  I am going to get the potatoes  cooked (I boiled the eggs last night) and the radishes and green onions chopped so that  all I need to do when people want to eat is mix in the mayonnaise and spices and tada......potato salad is ready to go with the burgers.
George is out getting ready for the fence posts and I see that there are three other people with him checking out the property line.  I guess it needs the eyeball of all the old folks in town!!  I have to giggle!!
I hear the front end loader now so I guess George arranged for a load of sand/gravel for the cement so that he could cement the posts into the ground and he said that he would also cement the area in the man cave that lies between the two rooms.  Now that will be nice, at least we won't have a big 4 inch channel in the floor from where the old wall once stood.
Since the guests will be arriving later on today, John and I must get the boat into the water to see if it is ready for the fishermen on Sunday.  We hook it up to the jeep and headed over to Deer Lake where it would get the inaugural launch and hopefully things go well and no one is left to paddle home.  Dave met us down there and the three of us jumped in and took off.  The boat ran like a charm and so was deemed an awesome buy.  Hopefully, the guys get lots of fish on Sunday.
When we got back to the yard, the "before you dig" man had arrived and was marking the power line again.  The first set of markings have long washed away and with George wanting to get started on the fence, they needed to be remarked.  Now that job is done and George can safely dig and no one has to worry.
We did some final primping and preening in the yard and the guests soon started arriving.  Bernie, Gloria, Debbie and Colin arrived first with Don and Riley right behind them.  We got the motorhome set up and then Riley started with his tent.
The air mattresses came out and we enjoyed a few beverages while they were being pumped up.
The sun was shining and it was an awesome day.
Casey was the next to arrive and with him, Roxy.  Her and Hogan started their running around like fools thing, soon after she arrived.
Kimmy came next as she managed to get a ride with Cody, who was coming up for a wedding this weekend.  Jace was late getting away from the farm and was not expected until the wee hours of the morning.
The burgers, buns and salads came out and everyone ate until they were full.  It was awesome.
Chris and Kylee were the next to arrive along with "Yogi".  Now we have 3 dogs to run around and play.  It will be fine as long as we all watch out and guard our legs as they often don't bother to look where they are running!!
As the evening progressed, a few of the folks called it a day and went to bed but there were a few ready to party.  Kim and Gloria kept the campfire burning while John and Casey partied in the man cave.  Eventually they both joined the campfire and waited for Jace to arrive although Casey apparently fell asleep in the lawn chair.
Jace arrived just before 3 in the morning with Coors (and that makes 4) and quickly set up his trailer.  I think everyone was in bed by 4 and all was finally quiet.  I had gone to bed at midnight and although I did hear Jace arrive, I didn't hear anything after that!!
Let the weekend begin..........
Got the fire going

Let the games begin
