It is chillier in the bus this morning but there is sun shining and only a little wind.  Yesterday's gale force winds seem to have blown themselves out and that is a good thing.  Today, it will be a clean up the yard day as there is stuff lying all over.  Hell, there was a full black garbage bag of crushed aluminum can under the back of the motorhome and it is now lying about 50 feet away!!  It was a hellish wind blowing yesterday.
Today, it is chilly but generally a much nicer day.  Perhaps I can get some of the stuff all packed away for our move into town later this week.
We are hoping to be in there on Thursday - that way I do not have to be the designated driver for the shuffleboard tournament.  We can take a taxi back to the park!!  I will definitely NOT miss that trip back out to the desert!!
Most of the little colourful solar lights that I had hanging in the palo verde tree were on the ground (a few in pieces) so since we are moving into town, I simply put them into their designated bin for the time being.  I don't know if I will hang anything up in town.
Keith and Charlotte came over for a quick visit then headed out to walk the trails.  John and I loaded up all the cleaning supplies and headed into town.  Some major cleaning is needed in the trailer we bought so we might just as well get started.
When we got there, I was so very surprised to see that the yard was completely clear of all the clutter.  I was fully prepared to see a mess but what a nice surprise.  John got right to work in the master bedroom tearing the panel board/sheetrock off the walls and ripping up the filthy carpet and underlay.  OMG, I am so glad that is is now gone, along with all the stains from God only knows what!!  Ray was helping and ripping and stripping as well.  Between the two of them, they had the master bedroom gutted in an hour.
Me, I totally bleached the bathroom and the refrigerator.  By the time we were done, the place was starting to smell a bit better!!

We had to stop for happy hour (and that is a good thing as we were getting tired by then) and spent the evening with Ray and Kay. Mitch was also over there for a visit.  While we were sitting watching the birds and looking for the javelina, a red tailed hawk swooped down and caught a dove just as it was flying off its perch on a mesquite tree.  All we saw was a "poof" of white feathers and the dove and the hawk were gone  in a flash leaving nothing but  the feathers slowly floating down to the ground.  We eventually texted Keith and asked him if he would come and get us as neither John nor I should drive.  We had one beer to many and since it is risky to drive when drinking, we phoned for Keith.  He was happy to come get us and while he was there, copied a few disks that Ray and Kay wanted off their computer.  It worked out for everyone - well except for Keith, who we disturbed from his quiet evening!!  Thanks Keith.
Back at the bus, it was grilled cheese sandwiches and bed.  More work ahead of us tomorrow so must get our rest and our energy level up.
