It is cloudy this morning and the sun is struggling to shine through.  The javelina are busy again in the open acreage outside the yard and since Hogan is still sleeping in his chair, they have nothing to worry about as far as he is concerned.
Yesterday, I cleaned some nuts out of the quad box and threw them out where the javelina scrounge for food and I see that they have indeed found them and are chowing done eagerly.  Ray also throws them dry dog food every morning and every evening so they know that there is always some tasty morsels around this area.  That is one of the reasons they are regular visitors here.
Today, we built the new fence and I must say that it looks wonderful - complete with gate.  It was an all day affair and by the end of the day, it was done and the javelina can no longer get into the yard.  And,  Hogan is now barred from the acreage out back unless we open the gate.  I don't think he is too impressed by that but life sucks sometimes!!
John ripped a few more chunks of panel board off the inside walls of the trailer and now has started to dismantle the ugly non-working furnace.  That is headed for the garbage as well.  Actually, Ray says he can take it in for scrap and it will go into the beer fund!!
Marybeth dropped by while the fence and gate were going up and became the unofficial supervisor for the project.  She didn't have a hard hat but came with a glass of wine so that got her a position on the work crew!!

Ray managed to make some jalapeƱo poppers for supper and we accompanied that with my potato salad and some roast chicken and chowed down before we called it an night.  All in all, it was a great day and very productive.
