Lorne and Marilyn will be returning from their six weeks in Mexico today and I do believe will be staying in Phoenix tonight. They will be coming to Wickenburg tomorrow so it will be wonderful to see them again. Oh, and I guess we will have to PARTY with them when they get here!! Woo Hoo!!
John decided not to go on the quad ride today. Instead, he plans to work on the trailer some more and get some of the wood needed to finish off the master bedroom walls and floor.
I headed into town and got the wood while John stayed behind and started cutting out the portion of the floor that obviously had water damage at some point in the past. When I got back, there was a gaping hole in the floor and some exposed filthy insulation that needed to be removed. With all that cleaned up, we are now ready to actually start replacing 2X4's and repairing the floor. Then we can start putting the panelling back up and laying the new flooring. Things are finally starting to come together!!
We made a good dent in the work today so decided to stop and have a refreshment before we started to unload the wood. Just then, Ray and Kay returned from their ride and we had two more hands for the unload!! Now isn't that just perfect timing!!
Our trusty supervisor, Marybeth came over and inspected today's work - I think it passed muster - and stayed until she was called home by her son to cook supper (man, I sure don't miss that!!).
Ray and Kay had a great time on the ride despite the fact that Ray tried to tip the quad not only once, but twice and wouldn't you know it, it was tipping towards Kay's side!! Damn Men Drivers!!
John started a fire and Kay went in and made an awesome Taco Salad. It had a bit of a bite to it as she used "hot" salsa in it but that certainly did not stop John from having several helping of it. He did however complain rather non stop about his burning mouth for the next hour!! He claimed he required several more beer just to ease the burn - Ya, sure Johnnie One More!!

We decided we were going to have another early night tonight and I think Ray and I were the only ones that actually took the statement to heart although John and Kay did not stay up until the wee hours of the morning they were, once again, the last to leave the fire!!
All in all, it was yet another good day - fun and productive. Now what more could one ask for?
