The sun is shining and it is gong to be a very hot day today.  Kay and I are headed into Surprise to get the siding for the shed and whatever else we need.
We headed out early, hit Home Depot and got the siding, a 4x4 so that Ray can build me a bird feeder that I can put a bird block on and another piece of board that Kay and I can use to pin the tanned snakeskin on to when it is ready.
We then stopped at Sleep America to check out the price of a new mattress for the truck camper as the one that is in it is soooo not a good mattress.
After that, we stopped at our new favourite eatery - Chick-Fil-A for lunch.  Mmmm....so very good.
Once that was done, we headed home where John helped us unload the siding.
We then loaded up the stuff that needed to be returned to Johnson's Lumber here in town and got that nasty job out of the way.  Bitches Be Getting Stuff Done!!
Once we got back to the park, the beer cans needed to be taken to the recycler so Kay and I once again headed into town stopping at Safeway to restock the Twisted Tea before heading home but, this time, the recycled cans paid for this purchase!!  Life is Good!!
Finally....time to stop and take a minute to enjoy a beer.  We have had a busy day and now the sun is finally showing a bit of mercy and the heat of the day is easing.
Since today's temperature has finally fallen, John is now ready to start some of the residing on the shed.  It is hard to work in the blazing sun for us folks not used to it so we have a short window to get some of the siding up before it is too dark to see.  We got a few pieces up before we had to stop but at least it is started.
While sitting in the dark, John got the bright idea to put a light behind the 3-D sun that hangs on the side of Ray and Kay's garage.  We all thought that it would be totally cool so Kay found a battery operated light and stuck it behind it.  With a bit of tweaking, the sun now has a light and it now looks totally awesome in the dark.  Woo Hoo!!
Eventually, John got a campfire going and the three of us sat around it for a while before heading to bed.
Ray had joined his family on a long quad ride today so was quite tired when he arrived home and chose to just relax in front of the TV.  It must have been brutal riding in the intense heat today and I am glad I didn't have to endure that.  I am sure there would have been some sunburn involved!!
All in all, it was a great, productive day today and slowly, all our things on the "To Do" list are getting done as soon it will be time for us to be heading back home leaving Arizona behind for another year.
Life is indeed, Good.
