The sun is shining and the birds are singing.  It is going to be another awesome day here in Arizona.  Unfortunately, back home, there is a winter blizzard warning out calling for freezing rain and blowing snow.  Now THAT is just so very wrong!!  Hopefully though, this is winter's last kick at the cat.
Kimmy is travelling to Edmonton today with Cody (their room mate and one of our adopted sons!) to meet Jace for the evening then, they will return to Saskatoon tomorrow.  I am not sure why Cody had to go to Edmonton but Kimmy jumped at the chance go see Jace.
I just text her and she said the roads were bad in spots but being Saskatchewanians through and through, they are not letting the lousy weather or the roads stop them.  Six hours one way is a long way to travel just to see your boyfriend for a night although I think I heard something about them going to see a concert.   Oh to be young and foolish again!!
We added a few more pieces of siding to the shed and now all that remains is two smaller pieces and the door.  Of course there is a bit of trim and a piece of screen to go on as well but other than that....the job is nearly done.  Once it is, that concludes all the major renovations for this year.
We now have a few weeks to tie up all the little loose ends, get packed up and start the long trek home.
There is still tons of snow there so we will have to take our time and hope that the weather turns warm and melts most (hopefully all) of it before we arrive.
We sat around the campfire for a while tonight then called it a night so that we could watch the women's world championship hockey tournament.  Canada is doing well and I suspect they will be playing their rivals, USA in the finals.  Both teams are great so it should be a good final.
