It is April Fool's Day until noon and so far so good as far as jokes go. It is also Kay's birthday and she is expecting her Pops to arrive for a short visit. He is well into his 90s and still plays baseball. He has to play basketball this afternoon so can only stay for a short time.
Pops arrived and he looks awesome. Wow, I think he just may out live us all.
Ray has invited us for supper tonight. He wants to try doing a beef roast in his outside pit so this will be a bit of an experiment. Since it is so hot out again today, we have decided that we would have beef on a bun and one of Kay's favourite salads - oriental salad.
I headed into town to pick up a few things at the store and thought that strawberry short cake would be awesome for dessert as well.
Marybeth came over and Mitch arrived and it was the six of us for supper. The roast was beyond delicious and the dessert fabulous. Supper was a definite hit.
We then sat around the campfire for a while although it was an early evening as the bus has to be at the fix it shop at 8:00 in the morning.
We rearranged the yard and got the bus ready for its early morning run by backing it out and parking it in the driveway. The truck and camper are now sitting in the yard. Man, with the bus in the driveway, it sure gives us an idea as to just how much room is in this yard!! In the morning, we can now just drive away and not have to worry about waking the neighbours up to move vehicles around. It is already done.
All in all, it was another good day shared with good friends. Life is Good!!
