Another nice day is upon us.  The sun is shining, the birds are singing and all seem right with this little corner of the world.
I did get a bit of a reality check though when I noted that one of the girls from home mentioned that it was -43C (-40F) with the wind chill factored in.   Oh Dear, Oh Shit!!  That is just too cold for man and beast.
Today the final two football games are played to see who goes to Superbowl.  The games start at 2:00 o'clock so I must get all my "work" done before they start so that I can sit and enjoy.  We left the big plasma TV over in the neighbour's garage and Kay says she is going to hook up another wire to it so that it has an HD screen.  Well, I think that is what she said.  Not really sure but she is the technical wizard around here when it comes to stuff like that.  Either way, all will be good.
I made some hamburger cupcakes to take over for the games along with a macaroni salad.  That way, we can eat when we want and that is always a good thing when the beer is flowing.  It is truly a good thing that no one has to drive anywhere.  We all live here in the "barrio" as Kay says.
With that done, I had to clean up the kitchen. Then it was time to sit and relax, after all, it is the weekend and Sunday to boot.
Both games were awesome and the right teams won so now it is two weeks to Superbowl and hopefully a good game.  Ray and Kay have their annual Superbowl party already planned and it sounds like it will be a good time.  It will be a potluck affair and sounds like that alone will be worth attending!!
Marybeth wandered over for a while after she got off work despite being tired after a long day at work. She enjoyed a glass of wine then headed home.
Once the games were done, John started a campfire and everyone but Ray sat around it for the next few hours.  Ray looked tired during the game and decided to stay at home and just relax before tomorrow's ride.
While sitting around the fire, we got out our phones and did the "Goggle Sky Map" thing and stargazed for a while.  What an awesome "app" that it.  I totally enjoy it.
Eventually, Mitch headed home and the fire was allowed to die down.  Kay headed home as well and soon, all was quiet our little section of the desert.   Life is good.
