Awake early and the sun is shining. Each day here brings us one day closer to home. I talked to Jan last night and she is getting anxious to have us home. She says Erin's boys are growing like little weeds and Caelan is starting to string a few words into sentences. Ronin is using the pottie more times than not and is a really "big" boy now!! It will be so good to see them again.
Ben came for a visit today with Grace. Poor little Grace is still limping from last week. She had broke a nail way back into her quick and I think it must be still pretty darn sore. She definitely does not like it when I pick up her paw. I hope it gets better soon.
Ben looks good. He is sure missing the wide open spaces of the desert and really wants to get back out here. His tent was pretty much destroyed by all the wind and what not so he definitely needs some new digs. Hopefully he can find something suitable for him and Grace before too long.
It was a supremely quiet day here today, I did nothing but read and John worked on the jeep for a bit. He heard Ben's generator surging for some reason and went to check that out. Sounds like it needs a bit of a tune up.
Ben returned and asked John to go and look at pop-up camper with him so off they went. I stayed here and cooked supper and when they returned and Ben was headed home, I gave him a take home baggie so that he had supper ready to eat when he got there.
All in all, it was a great quiet day.
