It is hot in the bus this morning and after doing a quick weather check, I see that it is already 25C.  It is supposed to get to 34C today so another hot day is in store for us.  I had better get outside and get the final bits of packing done.  All the solar lights need to be picked up and dismantled and that,  I am afraid,  is a job for me.  John has got most of the trailer in order and now only needs the jeep tied down and it is ready to go.
Last night's fire was great and Charlotte and Keith (who usually go to bed early) stayed until close to 1 a.m.!!  We had fun and they really liked their fire pit.  I hope they enjoy it and continue to have fun as they each settle into this RV lifestyle.  They are planning on moving up into the forest for the summer as it will be a lot cooler than here in the desert where it often reaches temperatures well into the 100s.  Way too hot for me!!  Great for rattlesnakes and lizards!!
I called Ben this morning and asked him to come and get me and take me into town to do the last of my running.   I have a load of laundry that should be done and a few groceries to get.  Then we are officially ready to head back home.
Once I was back at the bus, it was time to trade camping spots with Keith and Charlotte.  They wanted to move to our spot as it was a bit further from the road and quieter.  John went through all the procedures of hooking up the trailer for Charlotte and even showed her how to get her truck and trailer through the gate without any trouble.  She worries and frets about all these things so now she had a checklist to go through and can now relax a bit about the whole procedure.  She is a very independent woman and needs to know how to do all the trailer "stuff" by herself.  She actually did very well and with the truck's airbags set and the fifth wheel hitch raised up a bit, the whole unit looked level and pulled well.
With this job being done, John and I headed into town to say the goodbyes for the season.  Neither one of us were too terribly hungry (the heat of the day can really kick your appetite away) so the prime rib was out.  We waited for Erika to close the Seven then headed across the street for a beer with her.  Lee, her boyfriend of several years (a Wickenburg cop) did a walk through at the bar so we even got to say goodbye to him!!  The Mecca Bar was loud and busy but it was a lot of fun.  We were entertained by several drunks and laughed our asses off.  Before we knew it, it was last call and time to catch the taxi home.  After saying goodbye and thanks to Maria (the cab driver) and her brother Max for the "off road" trips back to the motorhome, it was definitely time for bed.
