Solar Lights

The fire pit John made for Char and Keith

They change color

Gosh, Hogan and I were up real early this morning.  Looks like it is going to be a nice day - no wind this morning.  The sun is shining through the windows and Hogan is lying up on the dash keeping an eye out for any nonsense!!
As it turned out, it was quite hot today and working in the sun is definitely NOT for me.  I had to stop and sit several times as I was starting to feel sick.  I almost wished for the cooler temperatures of home!!  OH LORD, did I just say that!!!
We continued picking up and putting away getting ready for our departure.
We were supposed to go into town tonight for supper and start saying our goodbyes but, decided we would put it off until Saturday.  We would have one final campfire here in the desert with Keith and Charlotte.
John made a wire connection for Keith so that he could use his 12-volt water pump to empty the 45 gallon water drum we gave them.  Now this thing just hooks up to the batteries and the pump runs like a charm and transfers the water into the trailer's water tank.
The evening was one of the finest yet.  The wind (which started blowing this afternoon) died down and it was warm.  A perfect evening for our final fire of the season.  John had put away our fire pit but has left a wheel rim and a metal fire box we found for Keith and Charlotte to use as their fire pit.  It was awesome and kicked off plenty of heat.  I really must remember to take a picture of it.
Our last "Arizona desert" steak and baked potato were consumed then,  it was time for bed.
