I am up early today and as I look outside I am getting used to seeing "white" on the ground.  That is not something that I wish to get used to!!
Bernie and Gloria are headed to Vegas today and I will be dropping them off at the airport then meeting John at Jace's shop where he will be dropping off Jace's winter tires for the semi.
Bernie got the bobcat out and cleared the snow from the driveway (yes, there is that much snow) then he and John loaded Jace's tires into the truck.
It was soon time for us the head into town and once Bernie's prescription was picked up and all our lottery tickets were purchased, we were off to the airport.  With quick goodbyes,  Bernie and Gloria headed into the airport knowing that they would be touching down in Las Vegas in a matter of hours.  It would be much warmer there, that is for sure!!
I headed over to Jace's shop and met John.  We left the truck there and headed out to Martinsville to meet Blair at B&B Truck Repair.  Blair has been storing our big camperized truck for close to a year now and it was time to get a list of parts needed to make all the repairs and drop off a bottle of Gibson's  Finest for him as a token of our appreciation for storing the truck.  He assured us that the truck was not an issue and once we get some of the parts, he will get started on the repairs.
Back in the city, we stopped at the grocery store and picked up more tomato juice and a few things for supper as John and I are spending tonight with Kim and have decided to make birthday pizza for her.  She is not to hard to please when it comes to food.  She likes it all as long as no seafood is involved!!
Back at the farm, we headed into the house and waited for Kim to arrive.
It wasn't too long before her and Coors (the grand dog) arrived.  She had stopped at the store and picked up tons of Halloween candy and together, her and I fashioned 28 bags of "goodies" for the kids on Bernie's school bus.  That was the one job that Gloria had left for her to do as she would not be back from Vegas in time to do it and she always makes goody bags for the kids for all holidays.  With a beer in one hand and Halloween candy in the other, we fashioned the bags in no time.
Once that was done, we got busy on the pizza.  When the masterpiece was finished, it was tossed into the oven and 25 minutes later we were enjoying the fruits of our labour.
As the evening progressed and we were sitting around watching TV, the power flickered a few times then went out.  Well, that is a bit inconvenient for those that live in a house but for those who live in a motorhome....not a big deal.
The three of us and the dogs, packed up and went out to the motorhome, fired up the generator and continued watching TV until it was time for Kim and Coors to head to bed.  The power came on shortly after Kim went back into the house so we knew she would survive the night!!
With that, I too headed to bed.  We are leaving tomorrow.....time to get this show on the road.
