Gale and I are off to the "big" city this morning at 8:30. Down the road we go......shopping!!! The drive to Spiritwood was an adventure all to itself as the road has deteriorated so much more than when John and I arrived last Friday. I simply could not believe it. The heaves and the pavement breakdown was the worst I have ever seen it and cannot imagine that the municipality will allow the road to get much worse before making an attempt at repairs. We can only hope that the much needed repairs are in the near future.
We arrived at North Battleford and the first thing on our agenda was to find the CanAm dealer. He was supposed to be on the highway somewhere as we headed out of town. Well we looked and looked and finally when we hit the town of Denholm, we realized that we had obviously missed the building so turned around and managed to find it on the way back. Man, why can't things be just a little easier!!
We shopped till we had all our "goodies" and our bedding plants. Then it was time to hed back to Leoville. We had a drive that was over an hour long ahead of us. It remained windy and rainy for our trip home but we managed to arrive safe and sound. The bags were unloaded and put into the bus and Gale headed home. It was darn near supper time.....we had been gone all day.
The remainder of the evening was spent just relaxing in front of the TV. It was good not to have to "do" anything!!
