It is the first day of summer today.  The longest day of the year.  One would not know that though by the weather,  as it rained all night long and still is raining this morning.
I walked home under my umbrella again this morning.
The kids are supposed to be coming today so I really must get to bed, grab a few hours of sleep and be bright eyed and bushy tailed for when they arrive.
I woke at 1:30 this afternoon.  John and the dogs were lounging in the front of the bus and I didn't hear any noise from them at all.  I didn't even hear when they left the bedroom.  Coors has been sleeping by my side of the bed all week.
It was soon time to get a move on as Chris would be here anytime this afternoon to pick up his trailer and haul it to the lake.  He left it here last weekend.
With Chris's arrival, another dog "Yogi" has joined the pack for a short while.  Man, it will be so nice when this fence finally gets finished.
Kellen and Casey along with "Holz" and "Roxy" arrived shortly after Chris.  So, now we have 5 dogs in the yard!!
Casey had his new axle in hand and it just so happened that Dave was over and guided him through the process of changing the damaged one for the new.  Within an hour, the quad was ready to go.  Of course there was no room on Kellen's trailer for Casey's quad so he elected to ride it over to the lake tonight.  He was going to take Roxy but I convinced him that it would be better for her to stay with us for the night and she could go over there tomorrow.  There will be three dogs in the bus tonight!!
Kim and Jace were going to stop and then decided that it was far too late by the time they drove through so they kept going and arrived at the lake around midnight.
Shirley wandered over after she got home from work then wandered back home to make some supper and eventually head to bed as she has to work again in the morning.  Dave stayed over for a bit then he too wandered home leaving John and I to close up shop and call it a day.
