Sunday, March 3/2013

It is cloudy out this morning and looking rather dreary.   Hopefully, it will start looking a bit more cheery out before Kay and I head to the canyon today with Hogan.
Despite how dreary it looks outside, it is warm so that is a good thing.
Kay and I left about 1:15, stopped at the gas station then headed out to the canyon.  Both John and Ray stayed home so it is just Hogan, with us.  He is a much better rider now, than he was the first time we took him.  He is much more relaxed and almost looks like he is enjoying his third trip in the side by side.
Since the day was not as sunny and a little less appealing to the masses, there was not as many people in the canyon today.  Only three groups were there so there was lots of room between us.  With in an hour or two, everyone had pretty much cleared out and we had the place pretty much to ourselves.
We stayed in the canyon for about four hours, arriving back at the park around 5:30.
Once we got home, we started a fire and Kay and I sat around it enjoying the "fruits of our labours"!!  Ray and John eventually joined us and Mitch arrived home from his day at the Nascar races.  He seemed to have enjoyed himself at the races but I am sure he was happy to be getting away from all the extra traffic the races generate.
Since we did not have our usual Saturday night steak and baked potatoes last night, we decided to have it tonight,  Once again, it was great and a wonderful way to finish off our day.  Kay joined us for supper (Ray having long since headed into bed) and once that was done, it was time to call it a night.
Hogan, ready to roll!

Kay and Hogan

Another great day spent here in Arizona with Kay and I spending time in the canyon with Hogan then coming home to enjoy the campfire and some pretty good food.        Life is good!!
