Believe it or not, I am up early this morning and managed to catch the last few ends of the gold medal curling match between Scotland and Sweden. It started at 5 o'clock this morning!! Scotland won and that is who I was cheering for although Sweden has been the silver medalists for four years in a row and are probably wondering just what they have to do to reach gold.
Hogan is due for a much needed bath today and being so early thought that I would get that little job out of the way. He was not impressed but once he was into the warm water seemed to enjoy it. Or, perhaps I am just thinking that!! Either way, the job got done and he is now all sparkly clean. He even smells better!!
It took the rest of the morning to chat with Jan on the phone and catch up on her life then, Jace called and I was able to catch up on his and Kimmy's life. All is well back home. Jan was sitting out on her deck (it was -21C (-6F)) without a coat on having a smoke and enjoying the "warm" weather!!
Now, it is time for me to get the potatoes on the stove as I have had a hankering for potato salad so guess what is for tonight's supper?
The afternoon seemed to fly by and it was soon time to feed the birds. It was a lovely evening although there was a bit of a wind blowing.
Again, when the sun went down, it was time for John to start the fire and we sat around it until it was time for him to start the bbq and get the pork chops on. Mmmm, potato salad, pork chops and beans. Awesome supper.
The wind eventually settled and it turned out to be another very pleasant evening. Life is Good!!
