The sun is once again up and shining and another nice day is in store for us.  Hogan has  been out several times and is currently lying in the sun just absorbing the awesome heat.
I had nothing planned for today so decided to take my kindle outside and just sit in the sunshine and enjoy.
Duff (Ray's brother in law) came by and we had a short visit.  He needed to borrow a trailer from Ray so that he could haul his side by side in for some work.  It is always refreshing to chat with Duff.  He is quite a character and I always look forward to our conversations.
Kay was busy today cleaning out the truck and Ray was busy planting his mandarin orange tree in their front yard.  It looks so healthy and holds great promise of things to come.  Hopefully it does well and we will all be enjoying the "fruits" of his labour next year!!
I made an appointment for Hogan at the local veterinary clinic today.  I found a rather large lump on his neck that definitely needs to be checked out so that will be done on Friday.  It is hard to believe that Hogan will be 5 years old in August.  Time flies!!
Several birds came to dine on the seeds that I threw out tonight but only one javalina showed up.  They have been pretty scarce since Sunday so I wonder if they just didn't like all the noise we created with the Superbowl party or, perhaps they didn't like the Baltimore Ravens winning the trophy!!
John BBQ'd pork chops tonight and they were delicious.  After supper, he headed up to Mitch's for a visit.  I stayed home to watch the two hour premiere of Smash on TV and enjoyed the quiet solitude.  Hogan and I chilled all evening until John returned and gave us a synopsis of his evening at Mitch's.
All in all, it was a quiet, relaxing day.
