What a day
I was up early this morning to make the cabbage rolls.  The sun is shining and it looks like it is going to be a warm and wonderful day.
We are supposed to be going on a quad ride later today so I must get the cabbage rolls made and be ready to go down the dusty trail when everyone is ready.
With the cabbage rolls made and some delivered to Gary and Arlene and some to Dave and Shirley, we climbed on the quads and headed down into "the block".
I had anticipated the fall color to be lovely but they were incredible - as you can see from the pics.  The weather could not have been any better.  It was simply a perfect Fall day.  We had a great time scooting down the trails while the leaves fell around us like rain.  We travelled on a carpet of fallen leaves and it was absolutely beautiful.  What a way to spend a day - good friends and wonderful scenery.  I wonder what the rich folks are doing!!
Because Jeff has to travel back to Saskatoon tonight the ride was a "short" one however, we always seem to be coming home in the dark and with the days getting shorter now, tonight was no exception.  Once home, I quickly made Jeff up a plate of supper, cabbage rolls (cooked this morning) and pulled pork (which I had put into the slow cooker before leaving for the trails).  He ate then headed home.  Lousy way to end a ride but he is hoping to be able to retire in a couple of years and buy a place here in town.
With Jeff on his way home, it was time for us to have supper too.  We headed back across the street and finished the day remembering all the great sights we saw.     What a life!!
