Monday, May 6/2013

I am awake early and the sun is shining.  It is going to be another lovely day.
Gloria arrived home yesterday (she was on Union business in Banff) while we were out quadding and was in bed by the time we arrived back at the farm last evening so today I get to spend part of the day chatting with her.   She now works from home so once she is done, then we can enjoy the sunshine of their back deck.
Kimmy said she would come out and drive me into the city to have my phone checked out.  I am sick of not having any service.  What is with this stupid "smart" phone?
Jace is headed down the road today but no one is sure when or where he will be going.
The kids arrived late in the afternoon.  They have been busy little beavers raking their lawn and cleaning their back yard.  Spring had arrived and the yard work awaits.
By the time they arrived, it was too late to deal with the phone so then Jace and Kimmy unloaded the quads, got the power washer out and washed all of them.  They were pretty dirty from yesterday's escapades.
While they washed the quads, Gloria finished off her work day and we sat outside in the chairs enjoying the sunshine.  Both her and Kimmy are working on their first sunburns of the season!!
Jace found out he was headed down the road later today so Gloria started a huge pot of chili so that we could eat supper before he had to leave.  Once supper was finished, Jace and Kimmy  headed back into the city so Jace could hop into his truck and get started on his last week of work.  He is headed to the "big" farm to help them seed.
Of course there is more hockey on TV so that entertains both John and Bernie until it is time to call it a day and head to bed.
Gloria has offered the use of her truck for the time we are here so I will head into the city tomorrow to deal with this darn phone.
