It was sunny all day today - too hot to be in the sun. It was a good day to do another load of laundry (the bus washing machine has decided to work again) and have it hang out on the line. Today it was pillow cases that required the laundry. It will be so nice to lay our heads down on sweet smelling pillows tonight. Why I will probably think I am sleeping in the wide open spaces!!
Our neighbours came over for a visit before supper. Dave has been busy trying to clear trails so that he can get his fishing boat back into some of the lakes that had lots of trees blown down during the last plow wind thus blocking the roads into them., He said that Island Lake was now open and I believe that it was the one that had the worst destruction and required heavy equipment to clear all the downed trees. Poplar Ridge Lake is still blocked and by the sounds of it, could be for a long time yet. It too probably needs heavy equipment to clear that trail as well.
It is nice to sit around with our Leoville friends and enjoy a few laughs and company before all going our separate ways for supper and the remainder of the evening. There is a rather calming peace to our way of life.
