Today was a clean up day. Casey took the Axle and whatever parts to the car wash to clean all the sand and dirt off them and out of all the little nooks and crannies it may be hiding in. With that job done, he decided to take Tori and both dogs down to Vimy. Here the dogs could swim and run around to their hearts content and he and Tori could just sit and relax and enjoy the wonders of the forest.
They were gone all afternoon and upon their return, said that they had met Dave and Gary and had taken Dave's quad for a bit of a run. Casey came home with soaked shoes and was hoping to be able to dry them before he headed home. Good Luck with that one!! Despite the raging fire, the shoes were still wet when the kids finally headed back to Saskatoon.
I had used the slow cooker today to prepare supper so made sure the kids were fed before leaving. I tried out a new chicken recipe and it turned out quite good. With the kids fed and watered - again - they loaded up and headed back to Saskatoon with the usual instruction to text us when they got there.
After receiving their text, it was time for me to head to bed. It has been a busy two days.
