I am back at the bus and it is 8:15 in the morning.  It was a good night, fairly quiet so was able to catnap a bit although one of our residents spent the night out in the day room beside me bound and determined to get out of her chair every few minutes so she kept Rose and I busy!!
I received a text from Jace saying that they would be leaving the city around 8:00 so I could grab a couple hours sleep before they arrive.
I heard them arrive and was up and about  soon after.
Once Jimmy arrived, we were off on the quads headed towards "the block".  We were a total of 6 quads.  Gary and Arlene were along for the ride and before too long, Arlene was unable to hold onto Gary's quad so jumped in beside Jimmy since he was riding solo today.  As it turned out, Arlene and I took turns in Jim's side by side.  It wasn't too long before we had the inevitable "breakdown".  Kellen had somehow managed to get up close and personal with a tree and came out the loser.  He broke both A-arms so was out of commission for the rest of the day.   Once that occurred, we headed towards home and hopefully the kids can find some much needed parts.   If not, Kellen's rally ride is over.
Once at the bus, the boys phoned a friend and got the parts then headed back to the broken down quad.  They estimated that it will take them about 3 hours to get back to the quad, fix it and return home.  As it was, the boys returned a little less than four hours but only 2 quads returned when in fact three were supposed to arrive.  Kellen's quad was now here but Chris's was now left behind as he had a rock damage his rim (left a huge hole in it) and the tire no longer held air.  The only good thing about this was that it was in an area where he would be able to get to it with a truck and trailer.  It was 2:45 in the morning and Chris was just leaving.   Gosh, will I ever get to sleep tonight!!  Eventually, all the boys were home and tucked safely in their beds.  Oh what a relief.
Tomorrow and the rally will come way too soon!!
All in all, it was an awesome ride, wet but awesome.  We saw two deer today and that made the day even better.
A sun halo - according to folklore, this indicates coming rains

Like we need more rain!!!!
