Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there.  The sun is shining and it looks like it is going to be a wonderful  day for a quad ride.  It will be wonderful to get into the forest and just enjoy the sights, the sounds and the smells.
We headed out with the five quads.  Gary finally has his all back together and now is in the process of "breaking it in".  Hopefully all goes well with not only his quad today, but all the quads.
We headed down into "the block" to ride some of the trails down there.  It was beautiful down there but "Spring" is just coming to many of the bushes.  The leaves are just starting so they have a ways to go yet before all one sees is green.  I imagine it will be another few weeks before that happens.  Many of the poplar trees are well on their way and of course the evergreens were looking as stately as ever.
I was surprised that there was not a lot of mud on the trails.  In past years, it has been down right ugly but this year, even the usually ugly part by Deer Lake was easily accessed although we did have to use the winch once.
John and I were leading the pack so we were able to see 6 deer today.  Some of them were not too bothered by us as once they got off the trail, they simply stood in the bushes and watched us go by.  It is obviously not hunting season!!
We spent the whole day "in the block" eventually arriving home around 7p.m.  It remained warm and sunny all day although is was a bit windy on the final leg home.
Once at home, Jeff hurried into the house for a shower then into his car for the trip back to Saskatoon.  Gary came over for one final beer then headed home for supper.   I put a lasagna in the oven and we had that and Caesar salad.  Good Stuff!!
Then, it was time to watch the season finale of Survivor.  Wow - 3 hours of Survivor!!

Off to bed then for some much needed rest as I should be cutting the grass tomorrow and I will definitely need all the rest I can get just to do that.  Wow - love the grass but sure hate the cutting of it!!
