It has been raining off and on all day. I went into the home today for what I thought was going to be an 8 hour education day and it turned out to be only a 5 hour day so that was a real nice little bonus.
Casey, Tori and Cameron are coming up here for the weekend so I must get my arse into gear and go buy some groceries and make sure there is enough beer for the festivities!!
With the rain today, it will be rather lousy sitting outside so we will have to move the fireplace to the other side of the little garage and sit inside there while the fire blazes outside the door. That will work. It will be nice when there is a door on this side of the "man cave" and the deck is built so that there is room for everyone to sit and not be in the rain.
The kids arrived (hungry, as usual) so everyone ate supper before we got down to partying!! Casey drove his "new" truck up and was excited to show it off. He said it drove nice and there were no problems on the way up.
The guys moved the fireplace and the fire was started. It is a good thing that John went and got some wood the other day as we went through a lot of it. I think tomorrow will be another wood gathering day. The fire blazed well into the night and the rain eventually stopped just in time for all of us to go to bed!! Tomorrow the sun is supposed to shine and that will be wonderful. The fireplace can be moved back to its spot and we can all sit outside.
The dogs had a riot, running around like a couple of idiots. They did not seem to mind getting wet or running through the garden getting totally filthy!!
Kellen and Chris stopped by to say hi and brought their dogs. They are both bigger than Hogan but remarkably, the four of them actually got along rather well. Surprising!!
