Well, the wind blew for most of the night and is still blowing a bit this morning.  Man, what a place for wind.  Of course it whistles through the canyon and down the surrounding hills so there really is no surprise that it is a factor around here.
It died down completely during the afternoon and that too is a pretty common occurrence around here.
Kay continued with the preparations for leaving and now most of the cupboards are empty and the freezables are all packed away inside the truck.
We took the propane tanks for a fill and stocked up on a few more groceries.
We then went "up the hill" to say goodbye to Bill and thank him for his hospitality.   Tomorrow is a travel day and since there is some BAD weather coming in, it truly is time for us to be heading further south.
We sat around the campfire for one final time tonight.  Lisa (one of Kay's neighbours) came over for a few drinks and also Brian, another neighbour.  It was fun and believe it or not...... there was very little wind that night!!  Woo Hoo.   Even Mother Nature cooperated for our last night.
It was chicken and rice for supper tonight and Lisa joined us as well.  It was good!!
It was soon time for some shut eye and that is always a good thing.  Life is Good!!
