Wednesday, December 1/2010

Woke up to sunshine and absolutely no wind. It is currently sitting at 44F and is to get to 69F today. Not bad for December - considering it is -15C at home - colder with the windchill!!
Today, we will be heading out. Hogan needs a shower - he is totally filthy from all the sand. I have never seen him so dirty so, since we need to fill up on water and propane and dump the tanks, he is getting a shower!! It is also the 1st of the month so today he needs his heartworm treatment as well. Then....I can go shopping!!
Well, the dog shower is done so now all three of us are squeaky clean. Time to head out. We four wheeled out of the campsite with no problems and the GPS helped us find Walmart and Safeway. Two hours later and we were headed down the road to Bousse, Az and more boondocking sites. We will be staying here for only a couple of days (waiting for parts to arrive at Wickenburg) and that is a very good thing because the ground here is covered with sharp little rocks and that is very bad for the dog's paws. He will be limping again real soon if we were to stay here any length of time.
The site itself is quite pretty though. We are nestled amongst the Saguaro and the ocotillo cactus and the Buckskin Mts fill the skyline. We got here today just as the sun was setting and the picture was beautiful so will definitely will have to grab some shots of it tomorrow. I think I found the download gadget that we needed for the camera - I hope!!
