Today is the day that Larry and Ariane are supposed to show up. It remains cloudy and is threatening rain again so hopefully they arrive before the ground at the cattle guard gets too slick. It is muddier at the gate and Larry will have to drive up a bit of an incline to make the turn up to higher ground. John is quite convinced that his truck can make the turn without any problems. Me, well I'll keep my fingers crossed.
We collected a pile of wood today for the fire. Hopefully the rain stays away but, as luck would have it, the rain started in the afternoon. Not a hard rain, just enough to make the ground wet.
Ben had gone into town earlier and had not yet returned. He planned on going into the medical clinic to get some prescriptions and it was taking much longer than I had expected. God, I am worse than a mother hen!!
John and I had moved into the trailer, out of the rain and heard an air horn. It was funny because John said to me, do you supposed that is Larry? I said something along the lines of "he has the GPS coordinates, so he should come directly here" and never thought any more about it. Eventually, we heard the phone ringing and it was Ariane wondering where we were. They had the last campsite coordinates punched in and were sitting there.
Soon, they were sitting at the current campsite. The truck climbed the little incline without any trouble as John had predicted and Ben had arrived back home. All was well with the world. The rain had stopped and we had a good campfire that night and caught up on all the news. It was fun.
