This week can only be described as HOT!!   Man,  the heat was nasty.  I am sooo glad that Kay and I slipped into Home Depot last week and got a new air conditioner.  Although it is quite noisy, it does cool down the mancave!!   Once this current heatwave is over, we will return it to Home Depot and get a quieter one!!
This week, Kelsey and Tyler returned home and Lorne and Marilyn's friends Jim and Bonnie arrived. Man, it is going to be another busy week.  Not only will be enjoying the company of these new friends,  we will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day as well.
The deer showed up again in the North 40 this week and we counted 8 in total.  Now that is awesome!!
Kay's sister Kim arrived for a quick visit.  She has been in Las Vegas for the past week at a college reunion so stopped here on her way to the city to see their Dad.  She will be returned later on for a better visit before she leaves for home.
St. Patrick's Day arrived and Kay and I got the corned beef going in the two crock pots and wrapped the cabbage for the bbq.  We invited Mitch over for the festivities and also Ray had been invited as well.  We met Lorne and Marilyn and Jim and Bonnie at Mecca for a few beverages along with Mitch.  Of course the Mecca was real busy so we moved over to La Cabana and spent a few hours there.  Mitch was our designated driver so that was a good thing.
Once back at the yard, the potatoes were put into the pot and the cabbage was put onto the bbq.  The corned beef smelled awesome and it wasn't too long before it was all ready and we were chowing down like rabid dogs!!  The Irish music was awesome and the beverages were flowing.  It was a totally good time and we ended the evening around the campfire surrounded by good friends and good music.   Thank Heavens, tomorrow ends the week and we can all just sit and rest up for another busy week ahead.    Life is good!!
