Sunday, January 29/2017 - Saturday, February 4/2017

This week started off with a trip to the old stone house in the desert out by Truman's Mine.  We were hoping to get to see him today as well.  We took Kay's Toyota out there.
We stopped and picked up Lorne and Marilyn at the Best Western and when we arrived there, Lorne was looking rather concerned as to why his passenger rear hub on the truck was HOT!!  One could not even hold their hand on it because of the heat coming off it!  We let it cool down a bit then headed out.  If there were going to be any problems, at least we had a recovery vehicle with us.
We set out and were passed by a couple of side by sides on Vulture Peak Road and noted that they had gone into Truman's mine site and were chatting with him so we didn't bother stopping by at this time.  Instead, we thought we would catch him on the way out.
We settled around the old house site, got the chairs out and let Booko out of his cage.  He road in the back of the truck out to the site and seemed to weather this quite well!!  We sat around and chit chatted and just enjoyed the lovely weather.  I guess it is time to start working on my "Get Kimmy Jealous Tan" so Marilyn and I sat in the sunshine while Lorne, John and Kay sat in the shade.  Kay said she will get plenty of sun this summer while she is rolling the highways and byways of Utah!!  LOL
Eventually, we started a campfire and roasted wieners over the open flames.  This I do believe is one of Marilyn's favourite things to do!!  Gee, I wonder what the rich folk are doing today!!
We stayed out in the desert for a few hours and with the sun going down, decided that it was time to head back home.  Lorne's hub was much cooler and we were hoping it would stay that way for the trip home.
Truman had left for the day by the time we left so we didn't get to see him so that kind of sucked but we must make another trip out this way to see him later.
The hub stayed cool for the trip home so John and Lorne both thought that what ever seemed to be "catching" had jarred loose on the bumpy road and repaired itself!!  We are good to go as far as taking their truck to the airport on Wednesday.
Marilyn got her pedicure on Tuesday and before we knew it, we were up early Wednesday, headed to Sky Harbor Airport with Lorne and Marilyn.  It took us an hour and 45 minutes to get to the airport so we got them there in plenty of time.
Once we dropped them off, we headed to the various shops that were on our list and managed to make good time with all the shopping.
Once back home, it was time to unpack all the goodies and then just rest!!  We have had a busy day!!
Ray decided to build a bit of an "add on" to his shed so was busy with that this week.  He wants a sheltered place for the quads to sit during the summer.
The rest of the week was spent quietly and neither Kay nor I felt one bit guilty about that!!  Life is Good!!
