This morning we awoke to nothing but blue skies and wonderful sunshine. It was going to be an awesome day in the meadow and we all agreed that after the marathon gong show of getting everything packed up and stored away, that we could all use a quiet day in the forest to sit and regenerate. So..... it was decided......we would stay the day and deal with the flat tire tomorrow. Today was for rest and a few adult beverages.
The sun shone throughout the whole day and John ended up with a bit of a sunburn on his legs and his head!! Actually, even Kay and I got a bit pink but it was quite enjoyable just to be able to sit and not have to do anything!!
The cats loved the freedom and Booko played with Mr. Bing. Everyone was glad for the quiet day.
We never did see any elk but were entertained by the squirrels who seemed to enjoy running along the ground tackling each other. Spring had definitely sprung in the forest!!
We enjoyed the campfire and Kay and I especially enjoy when John cooks our suppers. Life is indeed good. Tonight it was John's special super duper ribs and they were yummy!!
The cats decided not to come in for the night so I imagine they spent their night nestled together on the gas tank of the truck!! Silly cats but even to them....Life is Good!!
