Wednesday, September 18/2013 - Friday, October 4/2013 Kay's Visit

Today Kay arrives and I have the camper all set up and ready for her.  She will be staying in there and it will be like her own little apartment.  She has her own space and can rest whenever she has a mind to.    Just recovering from a ruptured appendix and a battle with peritonitis, she will not be feeling too terribly perky for a few weeks.
Her plane was scheduled to arrive at 10 p.m. and John and I arrived at the airport just as it touched down.  We were out of the city and headed back up to Leoville shortly there after.
Kay was tired.  It had been a long day for her so it wasn't too long before we all called it a day and headed to bed.
The first week was pretty lay back with Kay taking it easy and sleeping in on several occasions.  That in itself told me that she was not back to normal as she is a morning person.
When I wasn't working we spent time walking the streets of the town and I even saw things I hadn't seen in the four years we have lived there.
We had one quad ride where we took a slow trip down into "the block" where we showed Kay a few of our many lakes.  She couldn't get over the amount of water we have here in our neck of the woods.  Of course living in the desert like conditions of Arizona for so many years, one is not accustomed to seeing too terribly much water.
We spent several evening sitting around the campfire listening to the yapping of the coyotes and the whistling of the elk.  It was actually pretty awesome to hear but a sure sign of Fall when the elk start whistling.
John took her on a trip in the truck to see more of our wonderful lakes and since the leaves were starting to turn colour, the forest looked awesome.
On the evenings that it was too chilly, we sat in the man cave often watching football and here, some heated discussions were had as to whose team was the best.
All to soon, the visit was over and we were headed back into the city.  Kay's flight leaves at 6:00 o'clock in the morning!!
We stayed at Jace and Kimmy's and Kay got to meet both the boys and a few of our adopted boys as well.  It was nice of them to hang with us.  Some of the boys, I may not see again before we leave to go down south.
