Friday, September 6/2013

It rained during the night and this morning it is still rather dreary.  The sun did come out for a visit but it soon gave way to rain.
I decided that I needed a good breakfast so cooked bacon, eggs, sausage, potato pancakes, toast and left over pork chops.  Everyone enjoyed a hot breakfast after the other cold ones we had been having.
We stopped at the Sea Store for ice and everyone chipped in for some fireworks for Saturday night.
While at the store, Kimmy was feeding the fish chunks of bread and soon the seagulls came over to help themselves to the buffet and Kim was mad.  She didn't want the birds eating the fish's food.  Soon enough, a bald eagle circled and the seagulls disappeared making Kimmy happy again!!
The afternoon was spent with reading and cards and then it was John's and my turn to cook supper.   We prepared baked potatoes and bbq ribs, salad and leftover rice from Debbie's cook day.  It was awesome.
Don finally caught a Kokanee Salmon and he threw that on the barbecue and we all had a taste of it.  It was great.  He had to use a down rigger to get the hook deep enough to catch it.
John and I have been keeping in touch with Kay (our American neighbour) and today she is not feeling well.  She eventually went to hospital and we have not heard from her since.  Hopefully she is fine.
She is supposed to be flying into Saskatoon on the 10th of September for a visit so I guess we will have to wait and see.
Today, Kimmy and I watched a bald eagle come down to the water and catch a fish.  It was really awesome to see nature at its finest.
Another great day on the boat.   Life is indeed good.
