With the truck loaded, we arrived at Don's (Kimmy's uncle) 15 minutes late but not to worry, Don's sone Riley had yet to arrive.
Karen (Kim's sister), is already wound up, getting anxious and looking for her "nerve" pills!!    Already there is drama!!
Our first stop was Kindersley for brunch at Humpty's.  Not so good but we managed to leave the waitress relatively unscathed!!
From Kindersley, it was a pretty uneventful trip to Calgary, stopping only a few times for bathroom/smoke breaks.
The three trucks were humming along nicely and we made good time.  We stopped at Costco in
Calgary and  this is where the gong show began!!  We were to pick up some groceries and booze.  The only issue with that was......just where were we going to put it all as the trucks were already full!!  So....lets not worry about that.....lets go into the store and buy two carts full of stuff (not counting the booze).  Shit, Oh dear......Well, believe it our not, we managed to get everything stashed in the trucks.  Needless to say, we were loaded....in more ways than one!!
Our truck was stacked to the roof and Kimmy and I (who were sitting in the back) couldn't even see each other.  Well that didn't work for us so we rearranged things so that at least we could chat.  I ended up with a bag of linen on my lap and Kimmy had pillows on hers.  We heard later that Deb had her feet in the slow cooker and Kelsey was snuggled around cereal boxes and Karen had cases of coke under each arm.
It was here in Calgary that we went our separate ways.  Jace, Kim, John and I have decided to continue on as Jace wants to stop at several attractions along the way.
The Spiral Tunnels was our first stop and we were lucky enough to actually see a train go through the tunnel.  The look on Kimmy's face was priceless!!  At one point we were able to see the front, the middle and the end of the train as it proceeded through the tunnel and come around and cross over top of itself.  It truly is an engineering marvel and the only way for the trains to travel through this stretch of  the Rocky Mountains.

We stopped in Golden, BC for the night.  It was time for food and sleep and that is exactly what we did.   It has been a long day....
