John has once again been wheeling and dealing on a jeep and so had decided that today is the day that we should make the trip to Edmonton to pick it up.  The price is right but the color is even better.  It is bumble bee yellow and oh so pretty.
He wants to leave by 1:00 p.m. and with some quick cleaning up and rearranging of the trailer, we left Leoville at 1:20 p.m. so that is no too bad.  I am a little rusty with getting the bus "road ready" and it wasn't too long after we started going down the road that I was up closing drawers that weren't latched properly and clicking the safety locks on the sliding doors.  That being done, the trip to Fort Saskatchewan was uneventful and good.
There were lots of farmers out combining their fields in a mad race against the weather - this being the age old dance between the weather gods and the farmers.  So far so good though.
We found a quiet spot in Fort Saskatchewan to park for the night  and the weather was actually warmer  in Alberta than it had been in Leoville.  Being that we had travelled for several hours, the heat from the engine of the bus had certainly warmed up the mattress and that was not so good for me!!  I had limited use of the fan as we were on bus power and not plugged into Gary's power!!  Oh well, I will survive.
