Shirley came over early this morning to see how the cucumbers faired after the chilly night last night. There definitely was frost last night as the sheets we had covering the plants were stiff!! Fall, is certainly upon us. Since Shirley is off today, she has decided to pick all the cucumbers and the rest of the beets and do more pickles and perhaps put another batch of relish on. The garden is certainly looking empty now. All that remains are a few carrots and the potatoes.
I was supposed to work nights tonight but one of the girls needed a shift off so with some rearranging between three of us, I don't have to wok until day shift tomorrow!! Woo Hoo - I really don't like working nights.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing, with John eventually stating a campfire and us enjoying the quiet of the evening.
