The sun is shining brightly when I awoke this morning and the wind is still blowing.  Man, it just will not let up.   We are not in a real hurry to move so it will be a leisurely day again today.  The place we are moving to, York Staging Area is not too far away. We will head back into town, fill up on gas and a few food items and some propane, then head on out to the latest staging area. Perhaps there will be some left over wood around there too and we can have another fire at some point over the next few days.
For now, it is time to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and soak in the peace and quiet and the awesome scenery that we now sit amongst.
There was no grocery store here in Coleman so we had to travel the 2 kms to Blairmore where we found and IGA store and loaded up on some necessary supplies. Once that was done, we backtracked to Coleman and filled a propane tank at the Husky station along the highway.
While there, and filling up with water, we noticed that the engine was leaking fluid. John crawled under and thought it was antifreeze from the overflow - no worries.....WRONG!!
We continued on to the York Creek Staging area which actually sits only a few miles above the town of Coleman and discovered that there were signs saying no camping!! Now that sucks as there was no mention of this on the internet. There was even a suggestion that the area could accommodate large trucks and trailers so we were very surprised when we were faced with a no camping sign!!
John unloaded my quad and took a short ride up the road a bit to see if there were any suitable camp spots and he found a few. Together we decided that the one "up the hill" would be better for the solar panels and the satellite dish. It was more open and the trees would cause less interference.
The only thing about this spot was that the short up hill climb was not smooth. There were a few dips that would require a few rocks to be moved and some wood put into the dips so that the hitch would not drag.  NO PROBLEM.......RIGHT? Well, we were wrong and in the process of climbing the hill, the truck started spewing transmission fluid!! Shit, Oh Dear......this can not be good.
We got up the hill, got the truck situated and then contemplated our situation. Good thing we have Good Sam as they will send a tow truck if we need it. John is hoping that he just blew a hose somewhere but I am more the Holy Shit, we are so screwed type of person. There was nothing more to do tonight so we set up camp hoping, that after all this latest crap, we could at least get a satellite signal.  We did and,  the evening was spent watching TV and John got on the Internet looking where the closest repair shop was. I may need to call on the powers once again to save our asses!!
