Traveling along the pipeline
Today we are headed out to travel the Daisy Creek Trail. It is supposed to be a scenic trail and I only hope that we can actually find it!!  We headed down the pipeline (now that is an awesome reference on our map) and out into the wilds of the Crowsnest. I had my fingers crossed!!

numerous little creeks
There were lots of little creeks to cross and of course we could kind of orientate ourselves a bit because we had to cross a couple of roads. Of course it would have been so much more helpful if we actually had a sign or an arrow to point us in the proper direction  and through no fault of our own actually stumbled upon a sign. WOW.....number 86. Now we knew we were at the trail head of the Daisy Creek Trail. We could travel this trail to the next sign......#87....right?  NOT...We never saw another sign all day but were able to travel down the Forest Trunk Road back to the pipeline to find our way home. I am getting to really LOVE this pipeline. At least that is shown on the map!!

incredible views
Today's trail was indeed beautiful and it took us through some incredible country. This terrain is so different than what we are used to and provides a good work out on the quads.  I think my muscles are going to be sore tomorrow!!

Beverage stop
We made several stops along our way today giving us a chance to look around and see the beauty of these Rocky Mountains.  It is hard to enjoy it when you are riding so taking the time to stop and smell the roses is awesome. Or should I say smell the pines because that too was so prevalent along many parts of today's trail.  Every time we stopped today, the whiskey jacks came around to check us out.   They certainly were not shy and if we had some bread crumbs, I am sure we would have had no problem getting them to take them from our hands. Of course I tried to get a good picture of the little bird but he was not being very cooperative and of course this phone camera does not have much of a zoom capacity on it.
One of the many curious whiskey jacks
that came around to check us out at each stop we made.

more hills
We eventually hit the end of trail 86 and it spit us out onto the Forest Trunk Road.  From here we travelled several miles down the road towards sign post #88. This trail would eventually take us back to camp. Ya, Well....ask me if we ever saw that sign.....God, this is soooo frustrating. How hard is it to put up a damn sign????
traversing a creek

Looking down on the creek from one of the many climbs we did

Autumn has arrived.  Not one leaf
left on these trees

Nice pic of John crossing the creek.   We
needed an arrow here as this was the wrong way!!

The waterfall.  It was awesome and the pool was
deceptively deep!!
Well, we knew the pipeline cut across the Truck road so on we travelled eventually hooking up to it and finding our way back to our staging area.
HOLY SHIT..... an actual sign!!

Daisy Creek - you could see the fish
swimming - the water was so clear.

Reflection on Daisy Creek
We did make it back to camp thus ending another awesome day on the Trails of the Crowsnest.  Hogan got to chase the ball again when we got back so he was happy.  Life is Good.
He did not back in very far as it was quite deep
