Football day today. There are two games scheduled. The Riders play at 11:00 a.m. so there will be no quadding and that is a very good thing. My shoulders, arms and hands are done!! There can not possibly be enough drugs in the world to make them stop hurting whenever I move!! Shit, Oh Dear......getting old sucks!!
We will stay at camp today then move to another staging area tomorrow. There is an airplane crash site somewhere around here that John wants to visit so we have at least one more day of riding ahead of us so, I have until Tuesday to get my muscles back into gear!!
Being the end of the long Thanksgiving weekend, we are alone in the staging area again tonight. We gathered all the left over wood from the various campsites and tonight will have an official campfire. One with real wood and not just flames and heat provided by our "campfire in a can"!! It was awesome sitting around it but the wind was certainly not being cooperative. As usual, it was blowing like crazy. Fortunately, we did not have to worry about sparks as this wood really did not spark all that much.
The sunset at camp was awesome and the stars were out in full force. Even the Big Dipper made an appearance tonight. It was sitting high and proud in the sky!! It was a very nice ending to another great day here in the Crowsnest.
P.S....the Riders lost their game and now sit in third place in the Western Conference!!
