What the heck is that bright yellow thing in the sky!!!! OMG -- could it be the ever elusive SUN!!!
There is so much water lying around that I am sure it will be days before the ground is dry.
Bayne came over and says that the sunshine will continue for another few days and that in itself is very pleasant news. We heard from Erika in Arizona and she said it is well into the 100s down there and one could easily fry an egg on the sidewalk!! She also said they had had NO rain since we had left and "what did that tell you"!! Could she mean that John and I have something to do with all this shitty, rainy weather???
With John comfortably sitting in the lawn chair, Bayne starts pulling the wheel off the tracker and getting to the "problem". John has once again assumed the role of Supervisor (one that he seems to be getting VERY good at). The parts all seem to come off really easily and we are soon ready to put on the new axle - only one problem ---- the new axle is MUCH longer than the one Bayne has just removed!!! This could definitely be an issue!!! HEY, I just picked up what was ordered!!! Good thing it is only Tuesday and we still have time to order the right one!! John makes all the necessary calls and while on the phone, Bayne notices that the left CV axle needs replacing also. Now isn't that great!! John ordered both axles from Bumper to Bumper in Spiritwood and even better news, they will arrive tomorrow!!! Yeah!!
Bayne removes all the parts and pieces from the left side as well and with the little truck up on blocks for the night, we are ready for the new axles tomorrow. We picked up all the tools and stored them away for use again tomorrow and by that time we all were a bit thirsty and the sun was still shining and life was good!! Beer please!!
