October 29/09

Bacon and fresh farm eggs this morning, a quick goodbye to Jeff and we were on our way. Southward bound!! Lots of snow had fallen in the last few days, especially in the upper elevations. The roads were clear and dry, much to my delight.
Before we left we caught up on our emails and I phoned my sister Jan because we had been out of touch for a couple of days. It was good to hear her voice and all is well back home.
We stopped along the Yellowstone River, as you can see by the picture and were actually going to stay there for the night, but, the railroad tracks were close by and we soon found out that they were very busy tracks!! Not good.
Down the road we went to find another quiet, secluded little spot but we soon realized that 60 feet of motorhome and trailer is sometimes difficult to accommodate. We ended up staying in a rest area in Bozeman, Montana. We were both tired so watched a little TV and went to bed. It was raining outside but fairly warm. Thank Heaven. Tomorrow we head into Idaho and I'm sure there will be some mountain passes that we must cross. Please do not let it snow!!
