It is a quad day today. We are on a mission to find the trail that leads over to the Desert Bar so another adventure is in store for us I am sure!!
We left camp and travelled for several miles on a trail that slowly became worse and worse. Soon we were crawling over rocks and boulders, weaving our way further into a canyon which ended up being a dead end. Nice, now we had to turn around and retrace our travels over all those bloody rocks again!! Shit, Oh Dear!! Remind me not to travel this trail again….and I don't care how bloody awesome the scenery is!!!!
Back tracking out, did allow us to find the trailhead for the Desert Bar trail so all was not in vain!! John is hoping to get to the bar sometime this weekend. It is the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend coming up and the bar is open one extra day. Kay has been to the bar before but that was several years ago but it sure sounds like it will be something to see. It is on our "to do" list.
We enjoyed the trail and were once again blessed with an incredible sunset. Wow, they truly are spectacular.
It was another good ride although it did start off rather rough with that lousy unforgiving trail this morning!!
