It was time to start furnishing the house so that meant a new fridge and stove as well as living room furniture.
Kay and I found a "like new" stove at Habitat Restore for $75.00 so we grabbed that up as quick as a wink and it was delivered the same day. After a little "trimming" of the counter, it was nestled into its spot and looking damn fine!! I am sooo ready to cook on a stove that is not attached to an RV.
The Home Depot provided the fridge and The Home Room was where we found a recliner chair and a recliner couch.
The kitchen and living room are now reasonably livable. At least now we have a place to sit and watch TV!! The TV came from Keith and Charlotte last year so just needed to be sat up on the fireplace.
We took the trip to Quartzsite this week for the dish repair and $75.00 later, it was fixed and we were on our way back to Wickenburg. Woo Hoo……an easy cheap fix!!
When we arrived back home the dish was NOT fixed so we had totally wasted the trip and the money. It was still having trouble finding the satellite but finally John was able to get a TV signal so now we at least had TV but no Internet. Well, that will NEVER do so it looks like we will be heading back to Quartzsite….again.
We took a jeep trip to Box Canyon this week as well. Hogan has seen the vet again and another tumour excision is scheduled for next week so we thought that he would enjoy a trip to the canyon so that he could run in the soft sand, chase his ball and play in the water. He loved it so that was a good thing.
This pretty much concludes this week. It was busy, but we certainly got a lot of things done and the house is coming together nicely.
