The sun is shining this morning but there is a definite chill in the air!!  It is quiet here in this little campground so one gets to really enjoy the different bird sounds that seem to abound around here.
Booko is outside running around like a goof burning off energy so he will be ready to get into his cage and just sleep!!
We headed down the road and today's trip proved to be one of the most boring and longest days to date!!  We travelled through miles and  miles of sheer nothingness (and I don't even know if that is a word!!).  Miles and miles and miles of grasslands with the occasional break for a few trees interspersed amongst the occasional hill!!   And, miles and miles of snow fence.  I am thinking that this stretch of Montana gets an incredible amount of snow!! Campgrounds or any site that one can set up camp for the night are few and far between!!
We eventually found a rather dubious area just outside of Midland, Wyoming that looked to be a ball diamond at one point but as we turned into the area, we were met by a sign that said that this area was an active oil field!!  There were warnings about dangerous gases and what not but I thought with it being this close to the highway, the gases couldn't be much of an issue so we parked thanking our lucky stars that we did not have to travel any further tonight!!
It was not a stellar day!!  We did however see a ton of deer and antelope that call this part of Wyoming home.  They seem quite content to live out their lives amongst the numerous and I mean numerous oil wells and derricks that have invaded their lands.
Supper was nothing spectacular - liver and onions, mashed potatoes and cream corn.  It hit the spot and then I made the bed and crawled in to continue reading my book.
John made some smart ass comment about me going to be so early but I just didn't care.  I was tired and crawling into bed suited me just fine!!
