Sunday, March 29/2015 - Saturday, April 4/2015

We started this week back on the trails. This time we wanted to head over to Morristown and try and find the "arch" in the hills over there. John and I have been there once before so are hoping we can remember how to get there this time too.
It was an incredibly hot day but we took lots of water (and beer) and headed out.

It was hotter than hell out and John was drinking water
to stay hydrated.

The Hassayamppa River bed.

Another Abandoned mine site
It was another good trip but we never did find the arch so that will have to wait until next year when we will once again set out and FIND it!!

Sunset

We spent the rest of the week slowly getting the camper prepared for our trip home. There always seems to be something that needs to be done!!
We did take our time though as we really are in no hurry to leave here now that the weather seems to have settled and has become a bit cooler. There is no working outside when the temperatures are in the upper 80s. It is just too damn hot to move!!

Hummingbird feeder

Lots of activity around.  These guys are not too terribly friendly
to each other and several "fights" often break out!!
Kay and I headed off to the tree nursery and purchased a mesquite tree for the campfire area in the back yard and got it planted before we leave for the season. We managed to get it planted without poking ourselves too many times!! Now it can grow big and tall and we will have some shade back there. It will be awesome and Ray says he will water it every now and then to help it along until the monsoons come. I am looking forward to seeing it this December to see how much it has grown.

Our new mesquite tree.  We call her Madeline!!
Once again.....a busy week but a good week none the less!!
