Sunday, November 27/2011

It is Grey Cup Sunday today.  The British Columbia Lions do battle with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the coveted title of Champions of the 2011 Canadian Football League.  I hope the game is as good as the college Vanier Cup game was.
The sun is shining this morning and since the game does not start until 5:30 this afternoon, perhaps we will head back to that little creek and take some pics of the waterfall.
We spent a quiet day waiting for the game to start and once it did, the next three hours were full of anticipation, hoping that the Bombers would get their act together and make a game of it.  Unfortunately, by the time the Bombers started clicking,  it was the fourth quarter and the time clock was against them.  Although they made a valiant attempt to win the game, it was the B.C. Lions that came away with the title.  One could not feel anything but pride and happiness for the B.C. coach who did a wonderful job this year bringing his team to victory. Congrats to him and the team.  This game brings to a close, the 2011 Canadian Football Season.
The World Junior Hockey Championships will be the next big event for us, starting Boxing Day when Canada will try again to dominate.
The rest of the evening was spent watching TV (we really have no life!!) waiting for supper to cook (John bbq'd again) then crawling into bed and trying to finish off my book.  It is a tough life but someone has to do it!!
