Sunday, March 25/2018 - Saturday, March 31/2018

Another good week starting and this one started off with John and I selling the trailer.  It is a blessing and now that is one less headache we have to deal with.  The young couple who bought it lost everything earlier this year in the California wild fires.  Her parents live here in Arizona so they decided to move here and start all over again.   WOW...... it is a good thing they are young!!
We took payment and then started with cleanup at the yard.  We managed to get all the wood out from under the deck and get it transported back to Congress.   I guess now we have to deal with the man cave as that is the only thing left now.
On Monday, Kermit was repaired and ready for pick up.  We got that done and headed back over to the trailer to do a bit more clean up.  John put an ad in Wickenburg Swap to see if there was anyone out there that would be interested in taking the mancave apart so that it could be put back up in Congress.  Luckily we found someone who was willing to do just that.
Tuesday found us back at the trailer and we started with the dismantling of the mancave.  Dan (the fellow that will take it down) said he was hoping to have it done with in a week and that would be very good for us as we needed to get all the wood up to Congress.
Wednesday was a quiet day and a much needed one.  The weather is starting to get hot and working in the heat of the day is not a good thing for anyone!!  And it is a good reason NOT to do anything!!
We decided that we needed one more trip to the canyon and the Hassayamppa River so on Thursday, we dropped off the trailer for Dan to fill with the boards from the man cave and then met Lorne and Marilyn out there.  On the way we saw a big delivery truck stuck in the sand along with the tow truck that came to rescue him!!   Good Grief.   I do not think there were too many happy folks out there standing around looking at the dilemma!!
We enjoyed our day in the canyon and whined about it probably being the last trip of the season.  Lorne and Marilyn will be heading home right after Kay's birthday and we will be getting ready to head home as well.  Kay will be headed back to Utah and work soon too.  The weather was great and Marilyn and I worked on our tan while Lorne and Kay stayed in the shade!  John spent half his time in the shade and then joined Marilyn and I in the sun.  We sat in the river and soaked our feet!!  It was a very good day.
Friday found us back at the Arrowhead Bar and Grill for supper and drinks but we managed to stay sober!!   Yes, I said sober!!  LOL  The food was good and the company was even better.  We are so very blessed to be able to spend time with such good friends and make memories.
On Saturday, Mitch arrived for the night.  He is headed back to Utah to work and thought he would stay for the night then leave early in the morning.   It is a 9 hour drive for him and once he hits Utah, the roads will turn snowy and icy.
We all had a good visit with Mitch and at some point he realized that he had forget to bring his medications and would have to go back to his home in Buckeye and get them tomorrow morning!!  Oh dear, I think that is the second time this year he has forgotten his medications!!   The funny part of all of this is that Kay and I had said we have to remember to remind him to bring his meds and WE FORGOT too!!
Another busy week has come and gone and with our departure looming in the near future, our days ahead will only get busier!!   Life is Good

The man cave is down
