This week was for "clean up".  Clean up was needed at the old place and we managed to do that and take the last load of garbage to the dump.  The trailer is all  ready for the mover to simply hook up and haul it away to its new spot.  I hope the couple who bought it will have just as many good times with it as we have.   Life was pretty good at the park.
The man cave now is all stacked at Congress and ready for its rebuild at some point in the future.  Kay and I want it in the backyard and John is thinking it needs to go over onto the horse property lot.  I'm thinking that Kay and I will win this battle!!
There were a few last minute projects that needed to be done before we took off for the summer so we all got busy doing those.  Bubble wrap needed to go up on several of the windows in the house to keep the heat out so Kay and I got busy doing that.  We also got all the curtains ordered and hanging too so that was a good thing.
John was busy adding a bit of trim to the outside eaves as there were several cracks between the wood up there and that only invited bees and birds to enter.  It was a time consuming job but one that needed to be done.
There was also a bit of caulking needed around the garage doors and since I am the "caulking queen" that job was handed off to me!!
General cleanup of the yard was done and everything that needed to be put away found a spot either in the garage or in the house.
The fridge and freezer was cleaned out and all the necessary packing was done and by the night of the 16th, we were ready to head out.
It has been an awesome winter season with lots of work getting done on the house and the Casita being finished up and of course all the company we had.    Wow......I wondered several times if we would actually survive.....but.....we managed with very little drama and lots of laughs and good times.  Gosh, we haven't even left yet and John mentioned that he can hardly wait to get back here.
This year is the first year that Kay has mentioned that she does not want to go back to work but would rather stay right here in Arizona.  I guess things are different now that she has her own place and is really starting to think of it as HOME!!      Life is Good.....
