Kelly enjoying a beverage

Kelly's holidays are over and today she must return to Saskatoon and reality.  It has been a busy two weeks and we have had a ton of laughs and giggles.  We have eaten like little pigs and drank like fish. She has smoked like a chimney and swore like a sailor!!  (My mouth needs a good scrubbing out as well!!)   She is a very bad influence!!  What a ride we have had for the past two weeks.  We have shown her a ton of things and shared our beloved Northern Forest.  No wonder she wants to retire up here in God's Country.  She loves to fish, hunt, quad and be outdoors.  What better place to retire?

We ate breakfast and shared a few beer and juice before it was time for her to leave.  Gail came over for a short visit and wished Kelly a fond farewell.  We all said we hoped she would come back soon and she assured us that she would.  There were even a few tears (from Kelly) even while John was doing his happy dance as she drove out of the yard.  It sure is going to be quiet around here now.

It was a early evening as work was scheduled for me in the morning so it was off to the shower and into bed so that I could be bright eyed and bushy tailed for all the "old folks" in the morning.  My bruises were really pretty and the soreness and stiffness from the shenanigans of yesterday were wearing me down.  Bed felt awesome and I was grateful to be closing my eyes.  Shit, Oh Dear....Life is Good.....
